Things to do in Cusco?  Cusco is one of the most charming towns I’ve visited.  The old architecture with its rich Inka history makes it an unforgettable stop before heading to Machu Picchu. Cusco is filled with churches, museums, restaurants, artisan shopping centers, and bars.  It’s a cultural hot spot in Peru.  However, Plaza de Armas is one of the central areas with a number of Cusco landmarks.  The scenery kind of reminds me of Port Campbell.

Here are the Plaza de Armas’ landmarks:

  • Statue of Pachacuti – Pachacuti was the Emperor of the Inca Empire responsible for expanding the empire to Western South America.

  • Museo Inka – The museum is situated in an old-fashioned building and it contains a collection of Inca art, artifacts & architecture.
  • Cusco Cathedral – The cathedral is the main Roman Catholic Archdiocese church in Cusco, Peru.  Things to do in Cusco
