Things To See & Do In New York? The New York has so much to do in the city. I don’t think it’s possible for any New Yorker to do everything within their lifetime.
Things To See & Do In New York? There’s always something to do or see within each borough. However, that could be said about any other big city in the world. Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Paris, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Tokyo have a gazillion things to do within its city limits. It takes years to truly conquer and know a city. New York is no different.
It’s filled with a number of restaurants, bars and landmarks. The museums are filled with paintings from Picasso and Van Gogh. The numerous street vendors selling food; in addition, New York has a good amount of Michelin rated restaurants. There are endless photo opportunities for Instagram and your social media followers. The list is endless.
We’re going to focus on a few lesser known landmarks and a few famous landmarks. Here is a list of things to see & do in New York:
- Whitney Museum – The museum just for the view of Lower Manhattan.
Whitney Museum - High Line – The old subway tracks renovated into a park.
High Line - New York Botanical Gardens – The only botanical gardens located in New York and it’s a National Historic Landmark.
New York Botanical Garden - 9/11 Memorial – The memorial for the 9/11 attacks in New York.

- Grand Central Terminal – The iconic train station located in Midtown.
Grand Central Terminal - Flatiron Building – The famous triangle shape building.
Flatiron Building - Nolita – The little neighborhood in Lower Manhattan known for its little shops and restaurants.
Nolita - Central Park – There isn’t a need to explain Central Park.

That’s a quick list of things to see & do in New York. We’ve been to all the major landmarks and they seem to be overcrowded. The ones mentioned on the list are pretty well known but it’s not as crowded as places like Times Square or Central. Those are obvious must do or you can always book a tour.
