The Dubai Mall is one of the most popular landmarks in Dubai. It houses three landmarks tourists flock to see in Dubai. You get to see the Burj Khalifa, Dubai fountains, and Dubai Mall.
The Dubai Mall is famous for a number of things, which include the water show from its fountains, the indoor aquarium, the luxury brands and the Burj Khalifa. The mall boosts itself as the world’s most-visited and largest mall in the world with close to 6 million square feet, over 1,200 retail shops, and over 200 restaurants. It’s massive with over five floors filled with consumerism and the definition of luxury. However, I wasn’t there to do any shopping. It was on my agenda because of the Dubai Fountains and Burj Khalifa — the world’s tallest building. Dubai Mall Fountain. Burj Khalifa Dubai

I took an Uber from the Madinat Jumeireh. It was about a 30 minute ride in rush hour as I was leaving around 5:00 PM; my Uber driver dropped me off in front of the mall. The first thing I noticed was the hoards of people coming in and out of it. It was daunting to see how many tourists and locals were carrying bags upon bags of luxury brands. I made my way through the entrance with the goal of getting to the Dubai Fountain and seeing the Burj Khalifa. Dubai Mall Fountain. Burj Khalifa Dubai

As I got mid-way, the Dubai Aquarium was to my left. The large gathering of tourists waiting to get in line, taking pictures, and blocking traffic was unbelievable. I can’t even imagine how busy the mall will be once they expand it. I started to walk faster to look for the Fountain and Burj Khalifa exit cause I realized the sun was setting and I wanted my pictures with the sun up.
When I got outside, the area was crowded with tourists hanging around the water and taking pictures on the bridge. However, the second thing that caught my eye was the Burj Khalifa. It was massive structure and unique in itself. I’ve seen a lot of modern architecture like the Empire State Building, the Rockefeller Tower in New York, US Bank Tower in Los Angeles, Willis Tower in Chicago, the Eiffel Tower and so forth; but, the Burj Khalifa was magnificent in its stature and design.

It looked like it was from the future or the movie Fifth Element. Actually, all of Dubai’s modern buildings look like they’re from some science fiction movie. The large pool of water separates the mall and the shops on the other side. I decided not to stick around for the water show cause I didn’t want to deal with the traffic after it was done. Lastly, it’s definitely worth the time to visit see the outrageous luxurious life of the Emirates.
