The Meat Co Steaks & Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Views

The Meat Co is the premier destination in Dubai for a juicy piece of steak.  The company has multiple branches throughout Dubai to choose from.

The Meat Co was on my agenda for a snack.  The Meat Co is located in the Madinat Jumeirah; Madinat Jumeirah is a 5* resort filled with more than a 100 shops, restaurants and bars.  I roamed the halls of the Madinat Jumeirah and marveled in the old vintage Arabian decor before I arrived at the Meat Co.  The Meat Co has a clear view of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. I found a seat in the patio right next to the canal.  It had an amazing view of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah with old 1950-60s American music playing in the background. Madinat Jumeirah‘s old vintage Arabian architecture surrounding the restaurant and Meat Co’s labeled umbrellas providing relief from Dubai’s sun.  The first thing I ordered was a bottle of mineral water cause Dubai’s sun had me parch. As I drank the water, I looked through the menu to decide on which piece of steak I wanted to try.   The Meat Co had offerings from the United States to Argentina to New Zealand to Australia’s famous Blackmore cattle.  However, there was no offering from Japan; I found it odd that they didn’t have the best wagyu beef in the world. I got over my disappointment while the Four Tops song came on.  I knew I didn’t want any steaks from Australia or the United States cause it’s fairly easily attainable in the United States.  It came down to New Zealand or Argentina.  I went with the Argentina steak because of its legendary status and it’s considered one of the best beef in the world.  However, that’s debatable in my opinion. My steak arrived while I was enjoying my view of Burj Al Arab watching boats pass-through the canal.  The large slab of beef with a toothpick flag stating it was cooked medium rare arrived with my side of steak cut fries.  The white plate was spotless and I didn’t want to get it dirty.  The two-inch thick rib-eye was bleeding with flavor and the fries looking barely salted had me salivating by looking at it. The Argentina steak was a product of Pampa Humeda region and grass-fed.  The Pampa Humeda region is known for its large plots of land and it’s considered the best place to naturally farm cattle.  After taking pictures, I found my steak knife and fork then sliced through the slab of beef.  The beef cut easily and the juices started to flood the spotless white plate.  I took a look at the piece I sliced then pop it in my mouth. The steak tasted great.  It was evenly salted and peppered; the tender texture was gentle on my jaw as I chewed.  It had a nice mixed of lean and fat flavors; however, it didn’t give me the same joy as Japanese Wagyu or Kobe beef.  It didn’t have the same buttery flavors that evaporates on your palate.  However, it was a solid piece of steak and it made me want to pick a trip to Argentina to try it in its natural habitat. I finished my steak then water.  I signaled the server for the check while enjoying the last few moments at the amazing Madinat Jumeirah resort.  Dubai has become a very diverse city with all its expats and the country’s initiative to become an economic power.  With such traits, it’s only right to find steakhouses like Meat Co popping up around town to provide a more diverse culinary scene.  The Meat Co provides a good option to grab a piece of steak; however, the view of Burj Al Arab makes it a great option.
