Panama Restaurant is a few shops away from the Red Coconut Beach Hotel on the Filipino island of Boracay. It provides a great atmosphere for dinner like all restaurants on White Beach Path.
Panama Restaurant provides a dining experience on Boracay’s white sands. The feeling of having dinner with your feet in sands and the cool ocean breeze on your face is wonderful. Panama provides the same dining experience like a lot of the restaurants on White Beach Path.

The service was one of the best I’ve experience outside of a Michelin starred restaurant. The wait staff made sure we were comfortable and the food was to our liking. They repeated everything we requested to make sure they got our orders correct and even repeated how much money we gave them. That’s the one thing the Filipinos really excel at and there’s a reason a lot of Filipinos are in the hospitality industry.
Now, the food. Panama is mainly a seafood restaurant; however, they do have different types of land proteins like chicken and pork. I’m going to highlight the seafood only.
- Lobster – The spotted lobster was boiled then laid on a white plate. The lobster wasn’t your typical red in color but had stripes similar to a tiger. It’s a very common type of lobster around the islands of the Philippines. It was trench in butter and drizzle in lime. The simple ingredients went well with the plumpness of the lobster.
Lobster - Clams – The large clams were sauté in a buttery garlic sauce with lime. It had a really nice meaty taste to it and tasted fresh. It was a nice portion to be shared among a group.
Clams - Tiger Prawns – The tiger prawns were grilled and the size of a fork. It tore apart easily from the shell and garnish with fresh cucumbers. The juicy prawns had a hint of butter and lime. What seafood doesn’t go well with butter and lime?
Prawns
Overall, Panama Restaurant is a great and affordable restaurant on the White Beach Path. It serves fresh seafood with a great beach dining ambiance. It’s one of the better restaurants in Station 2 among a path full of restaurants catering towards tourists. However, the only thing it was missing was some pizza.
