Kappacasein is a little street vendor in the Borough Market serving cheese toast. It’s as simple as it gets. It’s the simple things in life that bring me joy.

The first thing you will notice about Kappacasein is the queue for the little vendor. It was about 6 people long when I got in line. However, it was moving fairly fast as the lady was pretty efficient with taking orders.
I found Kappacasein to be very charming and fun since I’m a huge fan of food markets and street vendors. I really immerse myself into the whole scene and tend to overspend on trying different things at markets. The Borough Market was no different in everything caught my eye.

However, Kappacasein was on my to-eat list when I arrived in London after reading so many good reviews of it on multiple sites. The ordering queue was efficient but it still took about 10-15 minutes for the sandwich to be prepared. It was minimum wait time cause there are other vendors around to go “eye-eating.”
Toasted Cheese Sandwich was a fairly large sandwich thrown on the grill. The cheese came melted and had an elastic texture to it; the sourdough bread was chewy. The mix of Montgomery cheddar, Ogleshield, and Comte cheeses had a decent taste to it with the sharp flavor from the four types of onions utilized. However, it was a fairly decent tasting Toasted Cheese sandwich, but I didn’t think it was as amazing as I read online. It’s still definitely worth the trip while at the Borough Market.
