Central Park New York is probably one of the most recognizable and famous parks in the United States.  It sits in the Upper Side of Manhattan and before Harlem.

This thing is huge!  The real estate value of Central Park New York was estimated to be near $600 billion a few years ago.  The only other park I could think that could compare would be Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Garden, Tokyo’s Ueno Park, Seoul’s Olympic Park or London’s Hyde Park in culture and sheer size.

Central Park New York

The park is currently at about 840 acres in parameters.  It’s 2.5 miles long between Central Park South and Central Park North and it’s 0.5 miles wide between Fifth Avenue and Central Park West.  It’s a great place to have a picnic or wonder the pathways while over 35 million people visit the park annually and a New York trip would not be complete without a visit to Central Park New York.  There is an abundant things to do in Central Park excluding Pokemon Go.

It’s really pretty during the Spring and Fall; those are the only times I usually visit Central Park New York to watch the leaves change with the seasons.  The park possesses several artificial natural-looking lakes and ponds along with robust walking tracks, bridle paths, ice-skating rinks, a zoo, Conservatory Garden, a running track, outdoor amphitheater and a wildlife sanctuary.  Also, the Metropolitan Museum of New York in on the Upper East Side of the park.  There’s attractions like the Belvedere Castle and a historic Carousel.

Central Park New York
I randomly sat down at this bench in Central Park on my 2nd trip to New York. It was sign for me to continue coming back to New York.

The park features endless terrain of trees and green grass.  I love grabbing a plate of Chicken & Rice from the Halal Guys then sitting in the park enjoying my lunch while people watching.  In addition, there are horse carriages for those who don’t want to walk.  There a number of walking, pedicab and guided bike tours.
